Description

What and interesting part of the sky!  again as Isidor Isaac Rabi once said, "who ordered that?"  (when the muon was discovered)   I'll add, What the heck caused that!

Working through backspace hell with my new WO71GT, but couldn't resist posting as  I love this wide field.   Spending a couple of hours tweaking each of the past 3 nights.    With what should be dead on backspace for the Flat6AIII (62.1 + 1mm for the filter) and tweeting the camera's tilt plate CCD-Inspector gives almost acceptable variance 10% to 15%.  BUT I have what appears to be star coma, but refractors aren't supported to suffer from that, right?  See version B for the corners and middle...this is after I cropped the image!  Oh guiding RMS was 0.5 to 0.26 total RMS.

guess worst case I just remove the stars!

PS will be trying several troubleshooting ideas tonight.  stay tuned.  Oh, once I figure this out a brand new 9.25HD edge just arrived (ordered in May).

Description: Grabbed some Oiii and Sii data last night 2 hours each while I was tweaking the backspace and tilt plate. stars are getting better. This is cropped due to the fact that when I adjust the flattener the camera rotates. This image is still wider than my 102GT. Purely SHO, removed 50% green with SCNR. Once I get the issues worked out I will start from scratch with this truly wonderful region.
